Schedule in advance to enjoy a 45-minute guided tour and learn more about the exhibits from museum experts.

  • Benton County Courthouse – 120 NW 4th St., Corvallis, OR 97330
    Originally constructed in 1888, the Benton County Courthouse has played an important role in the community ever since. It has been renovated multiple times since it was first built but still retains its historic architecture and charm. Visit for a window into the past and a look at how the courthouse still serves an important role today.

  • Albany Municipal Airport – 525 Aviation Way SE, Albany, OR 97322
    Did you know that the Albany Municipal Airport is actually one of the most historic places near Albany? Initial construction on the airport was finished all the way back in 1931, and in 1998 Albany Municipal Airport was the first airport in the state of Oregon to be added to the National Register of Historic Places. The airport is still in use to this day, and in 2019 a historic A-4 Skyhawk fighter jet was added as a permanent display which you can find at the airport's entrance.

  • Monteith House – 518 SW 2nd Ave., Albany, OR 97231
    Constructed by a duo of pioneer brothers in 1849, the Monteith House is an excellent example of living history in Albany. Today, the home is maintained by the Monteith Historical Society, housing many fascinating artifacts and antiques from throughout the community's history. The home was the site of the first sermon delivered in Albany in 1850 and was where community members discussed state formation in 1856. Enjoy a guided tour, or attend one of many special events at the museum.

  • Albany Historic Carousel & Museum – 503 First Ave. W., Albany, OR 97321
    It's easy to get younger family members interested in history when you have great destinations like the Albany Historic Carousel & Museum. The carousel is still in use today, and kids love it just as much as ever. There's also a delicious Carousel Cafe located on-site, as well as a gift shop where you can find fun souvenirs.
